50TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE

ANNOUNCEMENT/ CALL FOR PAPERS


The 50th Annual Conference of the Nigerian Economic Society (NES) will hold in Abuja between 28th and 30th September 2009. The NES is offering its Golden Jubilee Conference as a platform for all interested economists, social scientists, policy makers, labor unions, multilateral and bilateral organizations as well as Non-governmental organizations to contribute towards rethinking economics, economic policy and the transformation of the Nigerian Economy at a time of great global economic challenges.

Submission of Papers

Authors wishing to present conceptual, theoretical, empirical, case country and cross country studies and papers at the Conference are invited to submit papers on any of the Conference sub-themes for the consideration of the Conference Editorial Committee from April 1, 2009 electronically to the Conference Editor at sarahanyanwu2003@yahoo.com and to the NES Secretariat at njess@nigerianeconomicsociety.org. Papers may also be submitted in hard copies (three copies) to: The Conference Editor, National Secretariat, The Nigerian Economic Society, Department of Economics, U.I. P.O. Box 22004, University of Ibadan, Ibadan. All authors should indicate the sub-theme their papers fit into.
